Introduction To My Cannabis Journey

Hi Cannabis Fam!

Wow, what a crazy time in the world!! Hope you are all staying safe and staying inside as much as possible, so we can all get through this as a team. Thank god that we are considered “essential” and are getting to keep some of our sanity! And I hope that I can help to not only entertain you, but assist in keeping your mental health strong during this time! Now on a completely different note, I would like to introduce myself, and the goal for this blog.

Some of you may know me at this point from being in this big cannabis family of ours for a few years now, and some of you may just be getting to know me now. Regardless of how you know me, be prepared to get real with me and even more real with yourself! If you do know me, you are well aware that I work A LOT, and travel A LOT. In this kind of lifestyle, I forget about the network that I have built for myself while being on the road and how important those outlets have been to maintaining my mental health along the way. My goal is to be that for you as well.

As much as I want to pull the poor me card for not really having a normal life, I would be naïve to not be grateful for the amount of incredible people within this cannabis industry I have grown to love. As much as we all may have days where we feel sorry for ourselves, we all meet people within this industry who really DO understand our lives.  I want to provide a safe place that you can not only feel understood, but have someone to talk about the hard stuff with. My plan is to provide a blog, but also to take it a step further and open up my advice to any questions or concerns you are feeling about your own life. If you are wondering what kind of questions to ask, or how to approach this, there really is no right answer. We can talk about weed, your personal problems, problems with the industry, work/life balance, issues you deal with as a sales rep or business owner, job suggestions within the industry, etc., recent issues with COVID-19, I am here for YOU. If you would like to be anonymous, please make that known when submitting. All this is really for is a way for me to share my journey with you guys, while you also get to share yours with me along the way. I enjoy being high, but I would also like to be high on self love and positive mental health.

This is a safe place where if you feel like what you have to say is controversial, please do not let that stop you. I want to get controversial. I want to talk about uncomfortable things. But please do have the integrity to be respectful with the way that you propose such topics if you want them to be shown. I plan to dive into some issues I struggle with in this industry, and to some of my fears as well. I think our industry gets more and more corporate by the minute, and I think it is important we figure out how to properly hold on to this cannabis culture we all love and that we all remember our WHY and how each of us even ended up here in the first place.

Lastly, I will attempt to give you guys a little better look into my own WHY. At 23, after getting a DUI and making enough back to back terrible decisions in my life, I decided to let go of my love for alcohol. If I hadn’t of started smoking cannabis earlier that same year, this decision would have never happened, and I do not know if I would have ever gotten my life together. I had let alcohol become me, and I had a lost a lot of control over my own life. At this point, I had also hit 200 lbs, and was just at an ultimate low on happiness. Not only did cannabis help me to give up an insanely unhealthy habit for me, it helped me to get control of my body again and my metabolism. I have lost and kept off 65 lbs, and I have control over my life again. I feel incredible, and now if I make a bad decision, instead of blaming it on alcohol, I take accountability for my shit. It’s a pretty amazing feeling. So that is a little bit more about me, and I am sure we will get way more personal in the near future! Thanks for the support, and I look forward to growing with everybody and cannot wait to read your questions/topics of discussion! Stay safe!
