A Thank You to My Friends/Customers of 2020

Hi Canna Family! I cannot even believe it is already December of 2020. This year has flown by, yet we have managed to go through more than I think we all have gone through in the past 5 years. If you are currently able, follow my lead: Pause, take a deep breath, put a smile on your face, and pat yourself on the back, because you fucking deserve it!! Not only was this year scary on many different levels, it was very testing of all of our patience and overall character. At the end of the day, I am proud to work in an industry and fill my circle full of such resilient loving people. My heart feels fuller than ever, knowing that no matter how bad things may seem, I will always have a support group that is strong enough to go through anything, and to do it with integrity. I feel honored to get to work with a company who is so positive, and on top of that to have customers that are family and check on me consistently with all of this craziness. I just cannot say thank you enough to feel okay during a time where a lot of people are struggling. I hope my love and positivity is coming back full circle as well.

Working in the manufacturing side of the hydroponics industry during the year of Covid-19 has been challenging, to say the least. Shipping has slowed down an insane amount. Companies have run out of product that impact the whole supply chain. It has definitely resulted in an interesting year. I have been extremely grateful at these times to realize how patient my customers are at the end of the day. In our industry, we are obviously dealing with a live plant, so time is more sensitive. I would also be extremely angry if I found out my product was not going to show up on time, or if there are shortages due to increase in demand this year. I am very lucky to have such an extremely kind base of customers who have taken the challenges that have come with 2020 and managed to remain loyal and kind through it all. I am sure we have all at some point had our moments this year where we have hit our breaking point and went off on somebody, even if this person did not have anything to do with the reason you were mad in the first place. The best part about 2020 is most everyone understands why when you have a mental breakdown, because they have probably been there at some point too. I have been on both sides of this, and the key for me is making sure every conversation ends on a positive point. This year has been tough enough, and at the end of the day I am blessed to have a supportive industry family and overall circle that understands this and chooses to smile through it all. However, it probably doesn’t hurt our industry just happens to be thriving in the year of 2020.

We are all very blessed this year to be a part of an industry that was deemed essential. For once, we are being celebrated the way we should, and people are turning to cannabis to get them through hard times. I am sure we all could not be more grateful, however we all probably could not have been less prepared for what 2020 brought us. It has been extremely weird to be busier than ever, but also seeing less of everyone than ever. The demand for the product is clearly there through the dispensaries, but my interactions with customers have been very few so it has felt less busy on a personal level. With Covid-19, I feel I have seen an increase in many new customers from all over the world, which is amazing to see. This pandemic has clearly not just impacted the US, but other countries are growing more cannabis than ever and smoking more cannabis than ever, so being a global company, we have seen a high impact on demand for sure. With these 5 new US states making moves on legalization, that just means we will be even busier, and I will be traveling even more! This is when once again I am grateful to have a customer base and circle that is patient and understanding. With representing a whole country for a manufacturer, it is tough to be able to answer everybody as efficiently as I wish I could. I will say a special thanks to those who are not scared to casually hit me up a second or a third time if I do not handle their request though. Those are the kind of customers that I need more of in my life LOL. Sometimes I do need a reminder, but nonetheless I appreciate the patience more than ever this year. I am in full support of an extra smoke break throughout each day this year, and then we can just carry that trend right on to 2021.

Oh 2021, so close but yet still so far away. It is hard for anyone to really plan for anything these days, especially when it comes to travel. We are all kind of waiting for what will happen next with Covid-19, and when we will all be able to return to somewhat of a “normal” life again, if ever. For us reps who travel in the industry, it is hard to really plan out where we will go next when we do not really know whether those areas will be in lockdown by the time our plans actually go in to action. It is a really interesting time. I do not really know how else to describe it. I am a control freak. I like to have my next 6 months planned out and know exactly what to expect, for the most part at least. This is not peaceful for me, haha, so I am really trying to find a way to be okay with letting go of the need to know what is next, and just focus on what is right in front of me. I have an Air Bnb booked for February in Oklahoma City, so I hope to hit the road end of January and start my drive, but these days nothing is set in stone. I feel challenged, and this is always a positive. I know this year has made me stronger, and I am proud to be surrounded by kick ass warriors who make it all worth it in the end. Cheers to us, and fuck 2020!
